Ron is having a great day. He bought a power tool (a Hitachi 10 inch mitre saw) this morning and all the wood to build his new workbench. He has been out in the garage since 12:30 working on it. The guys have been a tremendous help to him today and he has started teaching them power tool safety. James especially has been very interested in using the drill. You see he is wearing his safety glasses. It amazes me how patient Ron is with the guys -- he shows them how to use everything and answers all of their questions. He sometimes even lets them have their hand on the tool while he is using it. I couldn't ever deal with that. He is a great dad.

Ron does need two more 2X4s and a top to finish up and then he will be all ready to help Andy on his Pinewood Derby car. The Pinewood Derby is the motivator for this project.

Not much else is going on today -- we went to the gym for yoga and spin classes and then came home for lunch. After lunch, the laundry and bench building commenced.
