So we made it through the Superbowl. And we were gravely disappointed. Maybe next year....

Ron is away this week for work. Things are going alright so far, but today's weather didn't cooperate. As I was driving home this afternoon, it was hailing. The hail wasn't huge or anything, but it was definitely hail and it was accompanied by a lot of rain.. and a rainbow. Pretty amazing.

I am having some friends over tomorrow night for dessert and coffee -- it is Mardi Gras you know! Have to do something with a lot of fat and calories! I am making my famous dark chocolate cake with only five ingredients, a honey almond tart, and some shortbread cookies of some kind. At this point, not many people are coming, but the recipes make small amounts so I won't be overwhelmed with sweets, I hope.
