Championships are finally over. We have one more swim team event: the team picnic tonight at the pool. At the picnic, the guys will get the ribbons they earned at championships. We arrived at the pool at 3:45. It was about 110 degrees and totally sunny. There were clouds threatening in the east, but they didn't move until later. Ron arrived at 6pm, and I headed home with James. I had reached my limit. I would go out into the sun to cheer on the guys and then I would sit under our canopy and die until it was time to go cheer someone on again.

The boys did GREAT things!! Elias came in third in his 25 yard freestyle heat and Benjamin came in first! Benjamin really blazed up the pool! Andy was the anchor for his 100 yard freestyle relay team and was very upset that his first three guys had fallen behind. Andy managed to pour on the gas and pass one or two of the other teams!! It was so exciting!!! In his relay, Benjamin got so far ahead that no one was ever going to catch up to him -- again, just smokin' everyone!! It was amazing and incredible!!! What an evening!

This is a picture of Andy burning up the pool during his freestyle relay. I know it is difficult to tell who is under there, but you are going to have to trust me!

Here are two pictures of Benjamin during his 25 yard freestyle race. Note the dynamic start!

Here is a picture of Elias right before starting his 25 yard freestyle race -- he is ready for anything.
Here is a picture of Elias showing off his Orcas tattoo -- the little girl next to him just thinks he is wonderful and spends a great deal of her time asking where he is and then holding his hand. Elias likes her too, but I don't think he likes her "in that way." And so it begins...
