I still cannot quite believe that Obama won. I am overwhelmed -- totally thrilled, you understand, but overwhelmed. I kept thinking that something very bad was going to happen, just as it had in the past two elections. My faith in the american people has been restored, or at least bolstered by this election. This is going to be one of the most exciting periods in american history -- it is as if we have finally evolved and shed our fears of the "other" and not only realized that people are people no matter what their color, but also believed it enough to elect this man as our president. What an opportunity we have!! I cannot imagine what will happen next.
