Here is today's encounter with nature --- this is a horny toad lizard. They are a slower variety of lizard, so you often see them sleeping in the road. As you can see from the picture, this is a baby; that is a fingernail clipper beside it for scale. I have been told that having a horny toad choose to live at your house is a great honor.
